About this condition

Plantar fascial fibromatosis, also called Ledderhose disease, is a condition where firm, benign nodules or lumps develop in the arch of the foot. These growths form in the thick band of tissue (plantar fascia) that runs along the bottom of the foot. While often painless, they can sometimes cause discomfort when walking or standing for long periods.
