Symptom searches you enter are processed locally in your browser and are not transmitted to our servers. The symptom and condition data files are downloaded to your browser and searched on your device — we never see what you search for.

Anonymised aggregate search query data may be collected by Google Analytics (e.g. "200 users searched 'fever' today") but this cannot identify you or the specific searches you performed.

6. Data retention

We do not store personal data. Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months by default, after which it is automatically deleted. You can request deletion of your Analytics data through Google's Data Deletion tool.

7. Children's privacy

IndiaSymptoms.com does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. The website is designed as a general public health information resource. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information, please contact us using the details below and we will delete it promptly.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete data we hold about you. Since we do not collect personally identifiable information, these rights are largely not applicable to our use. However, for any data held by third-party services (Google Analytics, AdSense), please refer to their respective privacy policies and opt-out tools linked in Section 4.

Our website contains links to external websites including Practo, 1mg, and PolicyBazaar. These third-party websites have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites and encourage you to review their policies before providing any personal information.
