Legg-Calve-Perthes disease is a childhood condition affecting the hip joint where blood supply to the thigh bone head is temporarily reduced, causing bone tissue death and deformity. Children typically present with limping and hip or knee pain, most commonly between ages 4-8 years. Early diagnosis and treatment with activity restriction, physiotherapy, or sometimes surgery helps preserve hip joint function.
