About this condition
Clutton's joints is a rare complication of congenital syphilis causing painless swelling of the knees in children, typically appearing between ages 8-16 years. Both knees usually swell symmetrically with fluid accumulation but without significant pain or redness. It requires treatment of the underlying syphilis infection with antibiotics.
