About this condition
Miliary tuberculosis is a severe, life-threatening form of TB where the bacteria spread through the bloodstream to multiple organs throughout the body. It gets its name from the tiny millet seed-like lesions seen on chest X-rays. Patients experience high fever, severe fatigue, rapid weight loss, and symptoms affecting various organs including lungs, liver, spleen, and sometimes the brain, requiring immediate hospitalization and intensive anti-TB treatment.
