About this condition
Light chain (AL) amyloidosis is a rare but serious disorder where abnormal proteins produced by bone marrow cells build up in organs like the heart, kidneys, liver, and nerves. This protein accumulation disrupts normal organ function and can lead to organ failure if untreated.
