About this condition

Chronic laryngitis is long-lasting inflammation of your voice box (larynx) that persists for more than three weeks. It causes hoarseness, voice weakness, and throat irritation, often due to smoking, acid reflux, excessive voice use, or pollutant exposure. Unlike acute laryngitis, it requires identifying and treating the underlying cause for recovery.
