About this condition
This is a rare inherited metabolic disorder where the body cannot break down the amino acid arginine properly, causing it to build up in blood. Children typically show delayed development, muscle stiffness, seizures, and intellectual disability by age 2-3 years. Requires lifelong special low-protein diet and regular monitoring by metabolic specialists.
