About this condition
This is a life-threatening condition where the lungs suddenly fail to provide enough oxygen to the body, often triggered by severe infections, trauma, or other critical illnesses. The lungs fill with fluid and the patient struggles to breathe even with oxygen support. It requires immediate intensive care unit treatment.
