About this condition
Other monocytic leukemia in relapse means that a type of blood cancer affecting white blood cells has returned after treatment. When leukemia relapses, abnormal monocytes again multiply uncontrollably in the blood and bone marrow, causing weakness, infections, and bleeding problems. Urgent specialized hematology care and often intensive chemotherapy or bone marrow transplant are needed.
