About this condition

This is a rare genetic disorder where the immune system fails to produce adequate antibodies, making a person highly vulnerable to repeated bacterial and viral infections. People with this condition experience frequent respiratory infections, stomach problems, and other illnesses that healthy immune systems normally fight off. Lifelong medical monitoring and treatment with immunoglobulin therapy is typically required.
