About this condition
Hemophilia B, also called Christmas disease, is an inherited bleeding disorder caused by deficiency of clotting factor IX. Similar to Hemophilia A but less common, it mainly affects males and causes excessive bleeding that requires treatment with factor IX replacement therapy and careful injury prevention.
