About this condition
This is a rare but life-threatening condition where fat particles block the main artery to the lungs, causing sudden severe strain on the right side of the heart. It can occur after major bone fractures, surgeries, or severe trauma when fat from bone marrow enters the bloodstream. Immediate emergency treatment is critical as this condition can rapidly lead to heart and lung failure.
