About this condition
This is a rare autoimmune disorder where the body's immune system mistakenly destroys both red blood cells and platelets simultaneously. Patients develop anemia causing fatigue and bleeding problems due to low platelets, leading to bruising and bleeding. It requires prompt diagnosis and treatment with immunosuppressive medications to control the immune attack.
