About this condition
This is a stroke involving the left anterior cerebral artery, affecting the frontal portions of the brain that control movement of the right leg, personality, motivation, and executive functions. Patients develop weakness predominantly in the right leg, changes in behavior and emotional responses, and difficulty with complex thinking and planning.
