About this condition
This is an extremely critical stroke where both carotid arteries that supply blood to the brain are blocked, cutting off blood supply to large portions of the brain. This is a life-threatening medical emergency with very high risk of death or severe permanent disability. Immediate intensive care treatment is absolutely essential for any chance of survival.
