About this condition
This extremely serious stroke occurs when blood clots block both back brain arteries simultaneously, cutting blood supply to the visual processing centers. Patients can become completely blind despite having healthy eyes, along with severe memory problems and confusion. This life-threatening condition requires immediate intensive care and has a very high risk of permanent disability.
