About this condition
This is an extremely serious stroke where blood clots block both vertebral arteries simultaneously, severely compromising blood flow to the brainstem and cerebellum. This can result in life-threatening complications affecting breathing, consciousness, and vital functions. Patients need immediate intensive care and may require ventilator support as the brainstem controls essential automatic body functions.
