About this condition
This is a slow-growing, usually non-cancerous tumor arising from hormone-producing cells in the ileum, the last part of the small intestine. Though benign, it can occasionally release hormones causing flushing and diarrhea. Regular monitoring is essential as some may change behavior over time.
