About this condition
An abnormal bulging or ballooning of blood vessels in the neck that supply the brain, such as the carotid or vertebral arteries. These aneurysms can grow over time and may rupture causing life-threatening bleeding, or form clots that travel to the brain causing stroke. Regular monitoring and sometimes surgical repair are needed.
