Most health websites are built for the US or UK. They don't know about dengue season in Karnataka, typhoid from monsoon water in Bihar, or how to say "chest pain" in Tamil. IndiaSymptoms.com was built from scratch to serve the Indian public — with conditions prioritised by their prevalence in India, seasonal guidance relevant to Indian weather patterns, and symptom search in eight Indian languages.
What this website does
IndiaSymptoms.com is a free public health information resource. You can search for symptoms in English or in your own language — Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi, or Gujarati — and get a list of common conditions that cause those symptoms, along with guidance on how serious each condition is and when to see a doctor.
The site does not diagnose. It does not replace a doctor. It is designed to help you understand what might be causing your symptoms so you can have a more informed conversation with a healthcare professional, and know when something needs urgent attention.

All health information on this website is sourced from authoritative, government-backed institutions. We do not create or invent medical information — we organise, translate, and contextualise information from trusted sources for an Indian audience.

Languages supported
Search symptoms in any of these languages — type in your own script or use transliterated spelling (e.g. "bukhar" for fever in Hindi). The site understands colloquial terms, not just clinical names.
India-specific design
Unlike global health websites, IndiaSymptoms.com is built around the Indian health context specifically:
Seasonal awareness: Conditions are tagged with the Indian seasons they peak in — monsoon, summer, winter, post-monsoon. During monsoon season, dengue and typhoid are surfaced more prominently because they are statistically more likely.
Regional relevance: Conditions like Kyasanur Forest Disease (Karnataka), Nipah (Kerala), and leptospirosis (flood-prone states) are tagged with the regions where they are more prevalent, not treated as equally common everywhere in India.
Everyday language: Results are written for a person with no medical background — not for doctors. Symptom descriptions use plain language, severity is explained in practical terms, and "when to see a doctor" guidance is specific and actionable.
