About this condition
This condition occurs when the pressure of fluid surrounding the brain and spinal cord becomes too low, often due to leakage. The hallmark symptom is severe headache that gets much worse when sitting or standing and improves when lying flat. It requires prompt medical evaluation to identify and treat the underlying cause.
