About this condition
Locked-in state is a rare and severe neurological condition where a person is fully conscious and aware but cannot move or speak due to complete paralysis of nearly all voluntary muscles. Only eye movements and blinking may be possible for communication. This is a medical emergency requiring immediate intensive care and specialized support.
