About this condition
This critical condition occurs when abdominal organs push through a weak spot at a previous surgical incision site and the protruding tissue loses blood supply, leading to tissue death. It requires immediate emergency surgery to remove gangrenous tissue and repair the abdominal wall defect to prevent life-threatening complications.
