About this condition
This is a generalized epilepsy where the patient experiences prolonged continuous seizures lasting more than 5 minutes or repeated seizures without regaining consciousness. This is a life-threatening emergency requiring immediate hospital treatment to stop the seizures and prevent brain damage.
