About this condition

Eosinophilic esophagitis is a chronic allergic inflammatory condition of the food pipe (esophagus) where certain white blood cells accumulate in response to food allergens or environmental triggers. This leads to difficulty swallowing, food getting stuck, chest pain, and reflux-like symptoms that don't respond well to standard heartburn medications. The condition is increasingly recognized in India and requires dietary modifications and specialized treatment.
