About this condition
Annular pancreas is a birth defect where pancreatic tissue forms a ring around the duodenum (first part of small intestine), potentially blocking it. Symptoms may appear in infancy with vomiting or later in life with digestive problems. Surgery may be needed if the blockage is severe.
